Chris Lighty, founder of Violator Entertainment and manager to artist such as 50 Cent, Diddy, Mariah Carey, and more has died today at the age of 44.
Lighty was found with a gunshot wound to the head and pronounced dead at the scene. The shot to the head is being reported as self-inflicted. According to the New York Daily News, Lighty had been dealing with some personal issues including a divorce from his wife last year and an IRS debt that totaled around $5 million.
Lighty will be remembered as a true pioneerof the hip-hop community and will be missed. May he rest in peace.
