Featured: Two-9 – Two-9 Forever

So while we were out for the past few months we didn’t have a capacity to share a lot of the music we were enjoying. Being that we are now back up and running it’s never too late to share.

During my first year of college in Atlanta I was introduced to Curtis Williams a rapper who doubled as a producer. I got to witness him put together his then latest project, Just Curtis. I’ve seen artist work before but not as resistant as Curtis and his passion for his music could not be rivaled. From the way he talks about it to the way he approaches it, it is truly somebody he embodies. However, it was not just his own work he praised constantly it was a collective of young talented Atlanta based artist he loved just as much. That collective includes Key!, rap duos FatKidsBrotha and Retro Sushi, producer/artist Wavy Wallace, Damien, MoneyMakinNique, Papa Jae, TheCoolIsMac, Gunner Stahl, and their DJ DJ Osh Kosh. I’ve been a fan since being put on to their project The Starting Five #2 and with their latest release Two-9 Forever I’m still listening and you should too.

First if you don’t know Two-9’s production credit is not to be fucked with it when it includes artist like Juicy J, ASAP Rocky, Meek Mill, Lil B, and more. The guys handle most of the production on Two9 Forever thanks to Key! and CEEJ of Retro Su$hi. If you are just now getting hip to Two-9 I suggest tracks like Scottie 2 Hottie, I’m Counting, DooRag, and my absolute favorite Snooki.

If you want to experience Atlanta outside of Steebie J, trap music, etc. I suggest you download Two-9 Forever. These guys and their music exposed me to a different lifestyle in Atlanta and downloading Two-9 Forever you will understand why. I guarantee Two-9 is the best thing coming out of Atlanta and in no time some of these great individuals will you favorites.
